Susan M. Haley D.V.M.

Suzanne DeStefano D.V.M.

Dr. Suzanne DeStefano visits with us 2 days a week.  She hails from Long Island, NY and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Hofstra University on Long Island.  Her doctorate in veterinary medicine is from Purdue University where she and Dr. Haley became fast friends.  For relief practice she has worked at over 35 animal hospitals.  She is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in both NH and ME.  She is a member of the AVMA and the NHVMA and has acted as an alumna student recruiter for both Hofstra University and Purdue University.  She has also taught at UNH.  She enjoys all aspects of canine and feline practice with special interests in dermatology and internal medicine.  Her travels have taken her near and far, giving her a unique perspective.  She has a particular devotion to racing and retired greyhounds - and does not feel she could live without one!

Thomas Adams V.M.D.

Dr. Adams is from the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania region and attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at The University of Pennsylvania. (Graduates of The University of Pennsylvania grant the degree of VMD as apposed to the other veterinary schools who graduate DVMs). He practiced in Pennsylvania until 1981 when he moved to New England to work at the Salem Animal Hospital where he was Chief of Staff. He is a member of the AVMA, NHVMA and was a Board of Veterinary Medicine member from 1996-2001.   Dr. Adams especially likes internal medicine cases with a special interest in diabetes management. He and his wife, Sue, have 2 grown daughters who live in NH.  His recreational interests include sailing, kayaking, hiking and skiing.

Having four doctors on staff allows for collaboration on challenging cases.  A second or third opinion in house is routine.  All four doctors attend continuing education conferences on a regular basis to stay current in veterinary medicine and surgery.  We also participate in the Veterinary Information Network, a web based source of current information on veterinary topics.

We are proud to say that four staff members have worked at The Kindness Animal Hospital for 25+ years.  They continue to provide service to our clients, and have been joined by other hard working employees so that our practice now includes 4 veterinarians and 15 employees.
